Mohammed Qasim, a Mechanical Engineering graduate, brings over 30 years of extensive experience in industrial and asset management sectors. He has led technical operations and logistics with a focus on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely execution of large-scale projects. With expertise in planning, installation, operation, and maintenance of heavy machinery, he has enhanced equipment reliability, optimized energy use, and extended asset life cycles. His experience spans material handling, hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication, and condition monitoring, ensuring safe and efficient project execution. Mohammed has also excelled in vendor negotiations, machinery procurement, and the integration of modern technologies to strengthen operational capabilities. Rahmani Farooqui, Director of Onyx Engineering, leads an ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certified organization. He laid the foundation of Onyx Engineering in 2009 as a proprietorship firm, bringing with him extensive experience as a civil contractor in greenfield projects. His early work focused on specialized services such as drilling and epoxy grouting for structural repair and reinforcement, gradually expanding into core cutting and controlled breaking techniques.

Recognizing the growing demand for advanced demolition methods, he pioneered the use of wall saws, wire saws, and floor saws as early as 2009. Over time, he also introduced techniques like concrete bursting, splitting, and hand crushing, building a comprehensive portfolio of precision demolition services.

With a wide range of high-capacity machinery and specialized tools at his disposal, Mr. Farooqui has positioned Onyx Engineering among the leading diamond service contractors in Hyderabad. The company’s clientele today spans a large segment of the city’s construction and infrastructure sector. In addition, he plays an active role as a core member of Indian concrete institute.

Khaja Asif Uddin, Partner at Onyx Engineering, brings over 15 years of expertise in the demolition industry. A Mechanical Engineering graduate, he specializes in mechanized execution, equipment maintenance, and productivity-driven operations. His career journey spans diverse ventures before firmly establishing himself in dismantling and demolition, successfully delivering projects across India. Today, he leads a team of 110+ professionals with a turnover of nearly ₹50 crores. Known for his hands-on approach, strong people management skills, and focus on innovation, he continues to introduce advanced global technologies into the Indian demolition sector. AR Basheer Ahmed, Technical Director, holds a Master’s in Structural Engineering and brings extensive expertise in design, analysis, and project execution. Farhan Azeem, a Diploma holder in AutoCAD, brings over a decade of experience in civil and mechanical structures. As Project Manager, he leads the execution of major projects, applying a practical, solution-oriented approach honed through years of managing complex demolition contracts. He excels in coordinating with on-site subcontractors, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. With over a decade of experience in the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) domain, he brings specialized expertise supported by a NEBOSH IGC (UK) certification. His academic background includes a Post Diploma in Environmental Law, an Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety, and a B.Sc. in Fire & Safety, complemented by a Scaffolding Inspector certification from STI, Texas, USA. He has extensive experience in implementing HSE standards, process safety management, audits, training, and ensuring compliance with global and national safety regulations. He plays a pivotal role in guiding and advising senior management on all aspects of health, safety, and environmental matters. This includes creating awareness among the workforce and management regarding HSE policies, legislation, and industry standards, while also preparing and managing the annual safety budget to effectively run SHE operations. He ensures adherence to legal requirements under acts such as the Factory Act, BOCW Act, Pollution Control Board regulations, and CGWA guidelines. His responsibilities extend to environmental management, including the operation of ETP/STP systems, hazardous waste management, and liaising with government authorities to maintain compliance. He also carries out internal audits as per IMS-ISO 45001 and 14001 standards, conducts proactive inspections of machinery and equipment, and investigates incidents to prevent recurrence. Additionally, he develops and implements HSE risk control systems, such as Permit-to-Work procedures, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA), and observation-based reporting mechanisms.

Arham Qasim is an MBA graduate with over 8 years of experience in Sales and Marketing.
